Why Aikido?

History

Aikido History tells us that Morihei Ueshiba experienced an epiphany about the deeper meaning of martial arts that led to the creation of a new art form. Traditional Aikido is often translated as the way to unify with life energy. From Aikido history we come to know that Aikido Martial Art was Morihei Ueshiba’s goal, he wanted to create an art that practitioners can practice by using harmonious spirit.

Drawing from his broad experience, he formulated the non-combative practice we now call Aikido. Ueshiba broke new ground by basing it on a win/win mentality rather than on destruction of an enemy. He developed principles from the art of the sword and the mysterious art of using one's mind to control the aggression of the attacker. With the proper attitude and practice, anyone can master Aikido Martial Art and improve their well-being.
